THE FULL EXPERIENCE

DESCRIPTION

Ah, an excellent choice, sir. You have chosen the Full Experience, allowing you to ride around in Ecto-1 using the
full array of sirens and flashing lights! There is, alas, a small price to pay for this, inasmuch as the police
cars from one of the four departments will have to be replaced, but I feel sure that this is a price well worth
paying.

The police cars that we will therefore be replacing will be the Rangers, the department whose jurisdiction lies
between the main cities, meaning that their replacement, will, in my opinion, have the least impact on the
game, presuming, of course, you spend your time driving around the cities and not the countryside. If you want the
police cars from one of the other departments replaced instead, e-mail me and I'll see what I can do.

So, to enjoy The Full Experience to the, er full, this is going to involve some work on your part.

Yes, I know, I can hear the groans from here, but thats the way it is. I realise that it would be so much easier
just to click on an .exe file and let the whole thing install itself, but life has so arranged itself that this
cannot be. Im afraid you will have to brace yourself, keep a stiff upper lip, and read on.

So, for all those who havent given up at the first hurdle and deleted this in a fit of pique (and, to be honest,
I probably fall within this category but then, Im institutionally lazy) then you will need the following mod tools:

   IMG TOOL V2.0
   SAAT GUI FrontEnd 1.0 Mod

INSTRUCTIONS

Stage 1 - The Car

1. Open up the IMG Tool V2.0.
2. Click on 'File' and then find the file 'gta3' - this is usually found in C:/Program Files/Rockstar Games/
   GTA San Andreas/models.
3. Click on the file and wait whilst the file loads.
4. Feel you're being patronised yet? This is not intentional. It's just better to be absolutely clear about these
   things, you know?
5. Anyway, click on 'Edit' and then 'Find'. Type in 'copcarru.txd' (without the '') and then 'Find Next'.
6. Selecting the file, click on 'Commands' and then 'Replace'. From the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 Mod by Liam247, select
   'romero.txd' and press 'Open'.
7. Repeat this process, but instead replace the file 'copcarru.dff' with the file in the mod 'romero.dff'.
8. Congratulations! The model of the car is now ingame! It remains only to modify the car's stats (so that it moves
and acts like Ecto-1 instead of a Mr. Whooppee van). Close the application and move on to Stage 2.

Stage 2 - Modifying The Stats

1. Go into the 'data' Folder of the GTA directory (usually found C:/Program Files/Rockstar Games/GTA San Andreas/
   data.
2. First find the 'handling.cfg' file and open it up with Windows Notepad.
3. Run down the list of cars until you find POLRANGER and replace the entry with the one below:

POLRANGER 2500.0 5960.4 2.0 0.0 -0.8 0.2 70 0.75 0.80 0.50 5 200.0 20.0 15.0 R P 4.0 0.80 0 30.0 1.0 0.1 0.0 0.35 -0.15 0.4 0.0 0.2 1.25 10000 40000020	0 0 1	0

4. Save and close 'handling.cfg'.
5. Now open up the vehicle.ide file with Windows Notepad.
6. Find the entry for the Ranger's Police Car, which is no.599 and replace the entry with the one below:

599, copcarru,	copcarru, car, POLRANGER,	ECTO-1, null,	normal, 4, 0,	0, -1, 0.68, 0.68, 0

7. Save the close 'vehicles.ide'
8. Now open up the 'carcols.dat' file using Windows Notepad.
9. Find the entry for the Ranger's Police Car (about half-way down) and replace the entry with the one below:

copcarru, 1,1

10. Save and close 'carcols.dat.'
11. Voila! You are very nearly finished. It only remains to make the Ranger's Police Car sound like Ecto-1 and insert
the famous siren and then we're done!

Stage 3 - The Sounds

1. Open up the SAAT GUI FrontEnd 1.0 Mod.
2. Click on File & then 'Set the GTA Directory.' Find the Folder containaing the GTA.exe file (usually
   C:/Program Files/Rockstar Games/GTA San Andreas)
3. Click on 'SFX' & then on 'GENRL' in order to export the files you will require.
4. Once all the files have been exported, click on 'Bank_092'. Two files will be revealed: Bank_092sound_001 to
   Bank_092sound_002.
5. Highlight Bank092sound_001 and then choose 'Actions' in the Menu and then 'Replace'. Find the same file in the mod and
   click ok.
6. Do this for all the sounds.
7. Click on Bank_093. There should be three files revealed: repeat the above process with these as well.
8. Then last of all, click on Bank_68. Only one sound file here is replaced: Bank_068sound_011. Replace using the
   above process.
7. Click on 'Save' and wait while it creates an archive.
8. If at any time you want to check you've loaded the right sound, then select the sound file and use the inbuilt
audio player to play it - that's what it's there for!

Please Note: Replacing these engine sounds will also replace the engine sounds for the following cars:
FBI Rancher, Huntley, Landstalker, Patriot, Rancher (both types), Ranger, Sandking
                Sorry, it can't be helped!

9. That's it! Close the application and start up GTA: San Andreas, ready to bust some ghosts!
